"In Freedom! The Path of the Roma" is a symphonic flamenco production featuring Marina Heredia with the Real Orquesta Sinfónica de Sevilla (ROSS). Part of the XXIV Bienal de Flamenco, it goes beyond a conventional recital. Composed by Joan Albert Amargós and José Quevedo 'Bolita', it commemorates the six-hundredth anniversary of the Roma people's arrival on the Iberian Peninsula. The work traces a sonic journey that begins in Rajasthan and follows the culture’s roots and evolution to the present, fusing flamenco song with the architecture of a large orchestra. The project is also an album and an act of historical memory, preceded by a documentary released ahead of the recording.
