A dreamy, lunar show with rarefied, magical atmospheres. A continuous cross-pollination between music and words, between the oneiric and the real. A wonderful orchestra, a wonderful chorus and then singers, actors, and children together for the first time to tell a magical story: the story of a puppet that has fallen—no one knows how (perhaps in a moonbeam), no one knows when (perhaps last night!)—into a ramshackle circus of mummers and acrobats. All in music: a coming-of-age tale inspired by fairy tales from the literary tradition of childhood. A story about how arduous and unique it is for each of us to ‘grow up’, but also a tribute to the theatre—its beauty, its transience, and its power to transport us to worlds that exist only behind the curtain.
