Oblivion is an English word meaning forgetfulness or forgiveness; it is a place of transformation, situated between memory and nothingness. It could be an image of classical Purgatory as described by Dante in The Divine Comedy: a paradigmatic place of transition, conditioned by the idea of the circle and the eternal wandering of bodies; as if, in the very act of moving, there were ultimately a renunciation of everything that binds us to suffering: memories, desires, identity. The piece won the Institut del Teatre Dance Prize 2020 and premiered in its full-length format at the Grec Festival 2021.
