This production of Andalousie at the Grand Théâtre de Tours was mounted using the original sets and costumes from the Théâtre de la Gaîté Lyrique in Paris (Production Henri Montjoie). The staging was adapted for the Tours venue across two different seasons. The 1952–1953 season presented the full 22-tableaux version under the stage direction of André Neyret, featuring Rudy Hirigoyen in the lead role of Juanito Pérez. The production was revived in the 1953–1954 season in a condensed 12-tableaux format, directed by Paul Servan with René Morel taking over the lead role. Both runs featured the Orchestre, Choeurs, and Ballet of the Grand Théâtre de Tours, supplemented by the specialized “Ballet de la Feria” to provide authentic Spanish choreographic flair.
