This 1956 staging of Caprice at the Grand Théâtre de Tours marked the world premiere of Georges Guy’s two-act, eight-tableau operetta. The production was musically directed by Jean Paquet with stage direction by Paul Mestre. Sets were created by the Grand Théâtre de Tours, and costumes were designed by Antoinette Aubert. Choreography was by Mme Premys-Brière, with the resident orchestra, chorus, and ballet of the Grand Théâtre participating. Notably, the librettist, Henri Manoël, also appeared on stage in the role of Henry.
