PLAYGROUND is an interactive sound sculpture installation conceived and curated by composer Ellen Reid for Opera Omaha’s ONE Festival. Visitors are invited to explore and activate the sculptural environment like a playground. On select dates, the installation transforms into a staged sound performance of Run, a 15-minute composition for voice and devised playground instruments, featuring ONE Festival soloist Naomi Louisa O’Connell with artists from the International Contemporary Ensemble. Words are by Zackary Drucker. All events took place in the Contemporary Wing of the Joslyn Art Museum and were free with museum admission.
