Premiered on stage in 2008, the musical brings the synth-pop sound of the 1980s roaring back to life as a spectacular stage show. Alongside the famous film hits, the big 80s dance party features additional classics such as “Gloria,” “Manhunt,” and “I Love Rock ’n’ Roll.” Young director Florian Mahlberg brings this exhilarating musical to the stage of Theater Hagen. With choreography by Nicole Eckenigk and designs by Norbert Bellen (sets) and Lisa-Jasmin Tomm (costumes), the production is hailed as a technical tour de force, featuring a three-part revolving stage that highlights the ensemble’s dramatic power.
