A new staged adaptation of Bertha von Suttner’s landmark anti‑war novel Die Waffen nieder! at Theater Bonn. The project began with a public reading on 20 September 2025 in the Schauspielhaus Foyer as part of the Bonner Friedenstage (free admission), offering audiences an introduction to Suttner’s text. The full production premiered on 7 November 2025, directed by Katrin Plötner and running approximately 2 hours 10 minutes without an interval. The role of Martha Althaus and additional figures are interpreted by Anna Paula Muth, Lydia Stäubli, and Kristin Steffen. The creative team includes Bettina Pommer (set), Johanna Hlawica (costumes), Johannes Hofmann (music), Ansgar Evers (lighting), Sarah Tzscheppan (dramaturgy), and Hannes‑Michael Bronczkowski (choreography). The last listed performance occurred on Sunday, 29 March 2026 at 18:00 in the Schauspielhaus.
