Diciembre is a 2025 Uruguayan drama written by and staged with Marcel Sawchik Monegal, under the direction of Mariella Chiossoni. The SODRE engagement presents the work as theatre rather than as a concert or opera. The production's central dramatic device is the return of an adult to the circumstances of a childhood absence. It begins in the summer of 1977, when a six-year-old travels to Buenos Aires with his grandparents to celebrate his birthday with his father. The father does not appear, and the adult child later examines the forced disappearance from the perspective of the son and of those left behind, reconstructing a family history through absence. The staging team includes Verónica Lagomarsino, Gastón Haro, Martín González Bergeret, Lucía Severino and María Victoria Parada. Miriam Pelegrinetti is credited with executive production.
