Notturno is a late-night chamber music format co-produced by the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin (DSO) and the Stiftung Preußischer Kulturbesitz (SPK). Since 2010, the series has placed live chamber performances in museum spaces after hours, creating a dialogue between music, architecture, and visual art. In the 2024/2025 season the series expanded to 10 different museums and cultural institutions across Berlin. Evenings begin with after-hours museum access and expert-led tours that frame the concert thematically, followed by a one-hour, intermission-free performance by ensembles of DSO musicians. The 22 November 2024 edition took place at the Kulturforum, with short guided tours through the Kunstgewerbemuseum collections and a welcome by Dr. Dagmar Korbacher immediately before the concert.
