La Grenouille à grande bouche transforms a well-known joke into a lively, participatory musical tale for families. Conceived by author-narrator Maëlle Mietton, composer Jean-Claude Gengembre, and conductor Christophe Mangou, the production creates an engaging, interactive concert experience. It is presented bilingually in French and French Sign Language (LSF), integrating a dedicated LSF performer and coordination into the dramaturgy. The audience is invited to take part through body percussion and short LSF incantations, supported by tutorial videos made available ahead of the event. The result is an inclusive, playful, and imaginative encounter between story, orchestra, and audience.
