FLESH is a visual theatre production without spoken dialogue. Conceived and directed by Sophie Linsmaux and Aurelio Mergola, with a scenario by Linsmaux, Mergola and Thomas van Zuylen, the piece treats the body as language. Its dramaturgy is built through gestures, images and short tableaux rather than text. Structured as four short stories for four actors, it sits between realism, tragicomedy and phantasmagoria. Reviews highlight meticulously detailed sets, costumes and props, and a precise focus on bodies in space. The design team includes movement, scenography, lighting, sound, costumes, masks and puppets, with a recorded voice-over integrated into the staging.
