This studio-scale staging presents Maury Yeston’s song cycle December Songs as an intimate solo program. Conceived for the Akademiestudio at the Prinzregententheater, the performance features a single female singer with solo piano, shaped in a cabaret-like, theatrical atmosphere. Under Till Kleine-Möller’s direction with dedicated set and costume design, the piece becomes a compact dramatic journey that foregrounds the performer’s narrative arc and emotional transitions through the winter landscape setting.
