North Coast Repertory Theatre presents the return engagement of Eleanor, a riveting one-woman play by Mark St. Germain directed by David Ellenstein, running two weeks only. On a park bench in Washington, D.C., former First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt candidly reveals the many facets of her storied life. Award-winning actor Kandis Chappell illuminates a witty, feisty, and vulnerable woman who was the heart of FDR’s presidency. Exploring both public and private sides, St. Germain captures the essence of a figure who left an indelible mark on American history. Originally mounted at North Coast Rep in June 2023 as the West Coast premiere, the production returns by popular demand. The intimate 194-seat theatre in Solana Beach provides an ideal setting for this approximately 85-minute, no-intermission event.
