With spirit and verve, this concert celebrates the beauty of life and invites you to listen to music in a relaxed atmosphere. The event is part of the Dresden Music Festival 2026 under the motto “The Lightness of Being.” Presented by Ostsächsische Sparkasse Dresden, it also takes place within TACHELES – Year of Jewish Culture in Saxony. The program brings together two musical worlds in one evening. In the first half, internationally acclaimed jazz trumpeter Till Brönner joins the Philharmonic State Orchestra Hamburg under its chief conductor Omer Meir Wellber. Brönner is renowned for fusing jazz with mainstream and high culture with pop aesthetics into a distinctive sound marked by effortless virtuosity and cool elegance. The second half turns to classical Romanticism: the orchestra alone performs Franz Schubert’s Symphony No. 3 in D major (D 200), providing a counterpoint to the first half and promising a finale full of youthful exuberance and joie de vivre.
