Tied to the Mingei International Museum’s exhibition “Boundless: Reflections of Southern California Landscapes in Midcentury Studio Ceramics,” Art of Elan presents an evening that explores how music and the arts capture the spirit of place. The program invites deep listening and traces a kaleidoscopic journey through time and space, echoing the physical, social, and political landscapes that shaped mid‑twentieth‑century craft in Southern California. The concert takes place in the La Atalaya Foundation Theater, a 1,700‑square‑foot space featuring 13‑foot ceilings, Danish design seating, and a 40‑foot glass door opening to an outdoor amphitheater and Palm Canyon. The evening begins with a 6:00 PM champagne reception and gallery viewing of nearly 150 ceramic objects, followed by the 7:00 PM performance.
