Jean Rondeau is one of the most versatile musicians in his field. The harpsichordist refuses to confine himself to specific eras or centuries and favors programs that encompass a wide spectrum of musical possibilities and thematic connections. With a truly special recital, he now celebrates his solo debut at the Innsbruck Festival of Early Music: «It's not a program. It's a musical performance. Normally, I adhere to what is set and announced. The audience has an expectation of what they will hear, the opportunity to prepare, like at a banquet where you already know who your table neighbors will be. The concept doesn't aim to negate this established format, but rather to create a musical ‹other,› not seeking to represent or impress.
