Inner Life

Wim Henderickx (1962-2022), award-winning composer, percussionist, music educator and resident artist of Muziektheater Transparant, composed a score in seven chapters. Each chapter has a duration of seven minutes and is intended for a basic line-up of seven core musicians. The score is partly composed, partly open, with fragments that are on the one hand precisely notated and on the other hand depicted graphically. Under the musical direction of Diederik Glorieux, HERMESensemble will work on this unique composition, which contains various gateways: passages that are open to additional layers of performance and give freedom to various interpretations. This makes collaboration possible: choirs, basketball players, a brass band with students from the Antwerp Conservatory and music associations from all over the city come together in this musical laboratory to bring Inner Life to life.
