'A solas con Marilyn' (Alone with Marilyn) is a small-format chamber opera that explores themes of betrayal, self-destruction, and the influence of modern myths on reality. The music, composed by National Music Award winner David del Puerto, combines contemporary styles with classical techniques, utilizing a unique ensemble of two voices, two instruments, and electronic soundscapes. The production is a collaboration between Teatro Xtremo, Ópera de Tenerife, and the Community of Madrid. It features a staging that incorporates modern technical elements, including strobe lights and fog machines, to enhance the psychological depth of the narrative. The creative residency for the work was held at the Teatro Auditorio San Lorenzo de El Escorial.
