Groove is a contemporary dance production presented as part of Norrlandsoperan’s 50th-anniversary celebrations during the "NO i Parken" outdoor event. Rooted in the traditions of Gqom dance from the clubs of Durban, South Africa, the piece explores the distinctive groove, form, and spirit of the style. This staging in Rådhusparken, Umeå, was shown as a 20-minute excerpt and took place within the framework of the People Power Partnership, a collaborative cultural initiative co-financed by the European Union.
