Blending a concert performance with a staged reading, it explores the highs and lows of her career and her unwavering search for love. The production uses the industrial atmosphere of the Theaterfabrik Blaue Halle to create an intimate yet powerful setting for these world-famous melodies. The artistic concept focuses on essentials: the voice, the piano, and the spoken word. Through the scenic conception by Barbara Schöller and Berthold Warnecke, the evening creates a portrait that goes beyond a mere stringing together of songs, foregrounding the emotional urgency at the heart of Piaf’s work.
