Eating A Man

Eating a Man is a 60-minute performance opera by Danish composer Christian Winther Christensen, presented by SCENATET. The work receives its UK premiere at hcmf// and features live cooking on stage, including animal meat. The production was commissioned and produced by SCENATET in partnership with November Music, SPOR festival, and hcmf//, as part of the Sounds Now project co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union. Staging and direction are by Anna Berit Asp Christensen, with video by Christian Winther Christensen and Anna Berit Asp Christensen, lighting design by Maria Pi Houmann, and technical management by Mette Hornbek Hansen. The cast includes vocalist Clara Stensgaard with SCENATET performers on cello, clarinet, flute, percussion, piano, and violin.
