Founded in 2000 by Gabriela Carrizo and Franck Chartier, Peeping Tom is a Belgian dance-theatre company known for placing actor-dancers in fantastical, sombre worlds. Triptych brings together three pieces within hyper-realistic, filmic sets, drawing spectators into a startling labyrinth of images and memories. Across a drawing room with unopening doors, a mysterious boat cabin, and a restaurant that fills with water, the characters waver between real and imagined recollections. They are propelled by elemental forces toward an uncertain fate. With extreme choreographic language, technical virtuosity, and intense dramatic play, the work opens a voyeuristic window onto the characters’ inner lives. Inventive choreography and sound dramaturgy cultivate an unsettling atmosphere that amplifies the psychological stakes. The result is an immersive experience that lingers in the mind, as elusive as it is gripping.
