Searching for Zenobia is a music theatre work by Lucia Ronchetti, created in collaboration with Mais Harb and Elias Aboud, with a libretto by Mohammad Al Attar. The production explores themes surrounding the historical figure of Zenobia, the Queen of Palmyra, blending contemporary music theatre with traditional influences. It was originally premiered at the Münchener Biennale before moving to the Staatstheater Braunschweig. The staging at Kleines Haus is directed by Isabel Ostermann, featuring stage and costume designs by Stephan von Wedel. The production is described as a chamber opera that utilizes both vocal performance and percussion to create a unique sonic landscape. The collaboration between Ronchetti and Syrian artists Harb and Aboud brings a cross-cultural dimension to the musical composition.
