Uirapuru

About

Uirapuru is a dance work by Marcelo Evelin/Demolition Incorporada that treats the forest as a cosmology of bodies, sound, and vibration. Drawing on the mythical imagination of Brazilian jungles, the piece searches for another sense of humanity through ritual movement between landing and flight. It foregrounds listening and presence over linear plot, using birdsong and sonic textures as territory rather than backdrop. The ensemble of Brazilian artists co-create the stage material, supported by dramaturgy, sound, lighting, and costume design that shape an immersive environment.
