This six-episode podcast belongs to France Musique’s original children’s series “Les Contes de la Maison Ronde,” produced with Radio France’s musical ensembles. Hosted by Julie Depardieu, the audio series reimagines the classic fairy tale Sleeping Beauty, as told by Charles Perrault and the Brothers Grimm. The story is set to music with excerpts by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky performed by musicians from the Orchestre National de France. The adaptation is by Marie Piemontese and Florent Trochel. Designed for both young and old, it brings together multiple narrating voices and a classical soundscape to create an immersive listening experience for the whole family.
