Part of the Sing-Akademie zu Berlin’s ORATORIO series, this participatory concert invited the audience to form the choir for two monumental sections of J. S. Bach’s Mass in B minor: the Kyrie and the Gloria. Emerging professional vocal soloists and a chamber orchestra supported the event, which was conducted by students from the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK). The concept emphasizes spontaneous, community music-making and provides hands-on experience for young conductors, singers, and instrumentalists while breaking down the barrier between stage and audience.
