Wesele w Ojcowie

The 1976 staging of Wesele w Ojcowie at Teatr Wielki was presented as a one-act Polish national ballet, part of a premiere evening titled Polish Ballets that also featured III symfonia and Stanisław i Anna Oświecimowie. Choreographed by Witold Gruca with set and costume designs by Adam Kilian and lighting by Stanisław Zięba, the production was conducted by Mieczysław Nowakowski. The staging emphasized traditional and national elements, using a large ballet ensemble to animate vibrant, folkloric wedding scenes.
