Charlie Price faces a demanding task. He has inherited his family's failing shoe factory and, despite his own plans, must try to save it to fulfil his recently deceased father's wishes. Fortunately, he finds an unlikely ally to do so. Lola, a cabaret performer and drag queen, knows exactly what kind of shoes the market is missing! As they work together, the two discover that they're actually not that different from each other. The Broadway top musical is based on the same name movie and the true story of a factory in the north of England.
