Because what is life worth if your life is not seen? And what does the things you do matter if no one notices? Why do we attach the value of “matter” to being seen? Why do we only really matter when this is seen on social media? Why are you only "really" happy or are you only "really" in a relationship when this is shown on Instagram? And why do we seek this confirmation, recognition and approval? Being seen seems to be the new norm, whether in a positive or negative way. Anything better than not being seen.
