The “Ave Maria” concert by the Kammersolisten Berlin is a guest production presented by the touring promoter Weltkonzerte in the Chamber Music Hall (Kammermusiksaal) of the Philharmonie Berlin. The Philharmonie serves as the venue while the date is programmed and sold by Weltkonzerte. The festive-season program combines Baroque and Romantic repertoire: Torelli, Corelli and Manfredini “Christmas Concertos,” Handel arias, Massenet’s Thaïs Méditation, and Schubert’s Ave Maria. Founded in 2015 by its concertmaster Alexander Grothe, Kammersolisten Berlin draws players from leading Berlin ensembles. The performance runs about two hours including one interval.
