Compiled and presented by Martino Faggiani, this sacred choral programme was given in the acoustically resonant Dominican’s Church in Brussels. The concept brought together rarely performed choral and organ repertoire, pairing Benjamin Britten’s Missa Brevis with a sequence of meditative late‑Romantic works by Franz Liszt, and culminating in Liszt’s Via Crucis. The focus is on choral sonority and organ/piano accompaniment suited to liturgical space rather than theatrical staging. The La Monnaie Chorus is at the heart of the event, with organ and piano under the guidance of the conductor/chorus master.
