Cyril Teste and Collectif MxM build on a precise framework that merges theatrical constraints with cinematic imperatives. It is an in-situ “filmic performance”: as the actors play, images are shot, edited live, projected, isolated, and examined in real time. Spectators can choose to follow the stage action or the filmed action unfolding on another plane. The black-and-white aesthetic heightens the clinical, oppressive feel of the onstage corporate fishbowl. Nihil Bordures’ original music, mixed live, integrates into a meticulously calibrated staging that reveals the muted violence of a system seeping into private life. The production was presented at anthéa as part of the Festival les Nuits d’Antibes.
