Divertissement was presented as the concluding part of a post-war ballet triple bill in Warsaw on 17 July 1946, alongside Chopiniana and Wesele w Ojcowie. With the Teatr Wielki building destroyed during the 1939 siege, the performance took place at Miejskie Teatry Dramatyczne on the Scena Muzyczno-Operowa. Choreographed by the internationally renowned Leon Wójcikowski—who also danced in the program—and conducted by Olgierd Straszyński, the production featured scenography and costumes by Jan Hawryłkiewicz. Structured as a suite of character and national dances, it showcased the versatility of the reconstituted Warsaw ballet ensemble and highlighted leading Polish dancers such as Maria Krzyszkowska and Stella Pokrzywińska.
