Two recent chamber operas are dedicated to different forms of futuristic women's rule: in Thierry Tidrow's "Protheses of Autonomy" for mezzo-soprano and instrumental ensemble we find ourselves in a "post-utopian matriarchy"; Operas are now only performed by robots to protect singers from the emotionally draining work of empathy. And in Christofer Elgh's "Valerie's Voice" for soprano and 4 electric guitars, the "biological catastrophe" Mann is summarily abolished.
