She was Marlene, "The Girl from Kurfürstendamm" and she was "Die Dietrich", film goddess and style icon. She was a Berlin "Jöre" and "probably the most glamorous grandmother in the world". She was a wife, a mother, and extremely adept at juggling her many love affairs. She enjoyed war hero status in the United States, while being branded a traitor in her native Germany. She was already a legend during her lifetime and she knew: A legend needs to be cultivated! And what doesn't fit the image and story of a legend is made to fit. This show based on ideas by Carsten Kirchmeier lets both Marlene and "Die Dietrich" have their say and weaves a musical biography without guarantee. The musical actress Gudrun Schade has already been on stage at the MiR in “Anatevka”, “Line 1” or “Der Vetter aus Dingsda” and is now contesting a brilliant solo evening.
