Like Flesh

Like Flesh is a contemporary chamber opera by composer Sivan Eldar with a libretto by Cordelia Lynn. In Montpellier, it was presented at Opéra Comédie on 10, 11, and 13 February 2022 as part of the 2021–22 season. The production team included musical direction by Maxime Pascal and stage direction and sets by Silvia Costa. The Montpellier cast featured Helena Rasker, William Dazeley, and Juliette Allen. The piece runs about 90 minutes, is sung in English, and was performed with French surtitles. This staging formed part of a co-commission/coproduction involving Opéra de Lille, Opéra Orchestre national Montpellier Occitanie, Opéra national de Lorraine, Opera Ballet Vlaanderen, and IRCAM–Centre Pompidou.
