This title by Domènec Terradellas is a historical recovery of Spanish operatic heritage . It tells the tragedy of Merope, queen of Epirus. It is presented for the first time at the Teatro Real together with the Akademie für Alte Musik , a renowned instrumental ensemble under the baton of Francesco Corti.
