Opéra de Lausanne’s production of Xavier Montsalvatge’s Puss in Boots (2008–2009 season), aimed at young audiences. A co-production with Teatro Real Madrid, Gran Teatro del Liceu, and Ópera de Oviedo. Stage direction by Emilio Sagi with the vibrant, colorful designs of Agatha Ruiz de la Prada (sets and costumes). Conducted by Laurent Gay, leading the Camerata de Lausanne and the wind ensemble of the Conservatoire de Lausanne. Performed in Alberto Guinovart’s chamber scoring. The staging highlights Perrault’s fairy-tale spirit, blending operatic action with choreography by Nuria Castejón and dancers from Compagnie Igokat.
