The story in the opera 'An Invisible Enemy' follows five people, each of whom must find their way in the new situation. You experience their efforts to regain control over their lives - lives for which Corona is increasingly setting the agenda. Time and time again, they have to deal with new guidelines and the question of whether and how far they will go to comply with them. Is there a limit to how much unity we can muster individually? And how much can we increase control of ourselves and each other without having consequences? Musically speaking, 'An Invisible Enemy' draws on trends from the classical music tradition and the classical opera format - but in combination with today's more popular expressions. Together, the opera's predominantly percussive accompaniment and the vocal element create a completely unique sound universe.
