A 60-minute interdisciplinary university staging from the Thomas Bernhard Institute, Universität Mozarteum Salzburg (semester project 23/24). Director Giulia Giammona situates Leonora Carrington’s surreal text within a mixed-media performance blending live music (including harp and operatic elements), choreographed movement, acrobatics, and sculptural/visual components. The dramaturgy integrates documentary traces and quotations from Carrington’s biography. Design and materials are by Lisa Behensky (set and costumes) with Luqua Bertin assisting; sculptural work by Mariella Maier; sound and music by Johannes Broemmel; choreographic collaboration by Alessandra Bareggi. Mentoring by Jessica Steinke and Frank Max Müller. Press and festival notes highlight a strong visual language with impactful sound and light; warnings about stroboscopic effects appear on Thalia’s page. The work premiered in Salzburg at Theater im KunstQuartier and was presented at the Körber Studio Junge Regie at Thalia Theater, Hamburg.
