In the musical "Fame", the ups and downs of everyday school life and being an artist are not only illuminated on the basis of individual fates, but also effectively presented live with songs, choreographies and other samples as a stage spectacle with 80s flair. Alan Parker's 1980 film forms the basis for the musical, which premiered in Miami in 1988 and has been very successful ever since. Numerous new productions followed, another film adaptation in 2009, and the rousing theme song continues to be played frequently on the radio.
