Aggiungi un posto a tavola is a two-act Italian musical comedy by Garinei & Giovannini with Jaja Fiastri, set to music by Armando Trovajoli. Premiered on 8 December 1974 at Teatro Sistina in Rome, it has become a classic with 30+ editions and about 15 million spectators worldwide (including London, Vienna, Madrid, Barcelona, Buenos Aires, and São Paulo). The original scenic design by Giulio Coltellacci—featuring a double revolve and the iconic ark—required sophisticated stage machinery. The recent revival marks the work’s 50th anniversary, preserving the Garinei & Giovannini legacy and Gino Landi’s choreographic imprint. Recent editions include Gianluca Guidi’s revival direction and, for the 2024–2026 tour, staging by Marco Simeoli with music direction by Maurizio Abeni, adapted sets by Gabriele Moreschi, and costume adaptations by Francesca Grossi.
