Theater Regensburg’s 2013/2014 production of Ödön von Horváth’s Der jüngste Tag was directed by Dominik von Gunten and premiered on November 16, 2013 at Theater am Bismarckplatz. The staging examines themes of guilt, responsibility, and solidarity, approaching Horváth’s final major play as a tragic love story set against catastrophic events. Following its premiere, the production ran in repertory, including January 2014 dates at the Velodrom in Regensburg.
