The adult education center has invited to a serious lecture on “The Operetta in the Past and Present”, and that at the place where it all happened: in the municipal theatre. But the operetta cannot be confined to a lecture! She's crazy, time-critical, sentimental, exaggerated and malicious, in short: she's dangerous! And so the madness of cancan, waltz, march and tearjerker conquers the lecture hall. The composer Gordon Kampe has created a fast-paced and playful revue that traces the operettas of the last 170 years and brings their absurdity into the present. He composed three new numbers for the Gießen version.
