Lontano da qui is a contemporary opera commissioned by Teatro Lirico Sperimentale from composer Filippo Perocco. The production is a co-production with Fondazione I Teatri di Reggio Emilia. It is directed by Claudia Sorace of the artistic collective Muta Imago, with dramaturgy and libretto by Riccardo Fazi. Technical and video direction is by Maria Elena Fusacchia. The staging is dedicated to the Valnerina region and its people after the 2016 earthquake. Musically, it is led by conductor Marco Angius and features the Instrumental Ensemble of Teatro Lirico Sperimentale alongside Ensemble L’arsenale. The work is a major contemporary addition to the 72nd Experimental Opera Season of Spoleto and Umbria.
