This production of Moby Dick is a theatrical adaptation of Herman Melville's classic novel, directed by Andrés Lima and adapted for the stage by Juan Cavestany. The staging is described as a total, brave, and innovative spectacle that focuses on the figure of Captain Ahab as a representation of unreasonable human obsession. The production explores themes of madness and the capacity of obsession to override free will and consume the soul. The artistic vision incorporates high-level technical collaborations, including special effects and makeup by the Oscar-winning studio DDT SFX (David Martí and Montse Ribé). The scenography and costumes by Beatriz San Juan, combined with lighting by Valentín Alvarez and sound by Jordi Ballbé, create an immersive environment that reflects the depths of the ocean and the protagonist's internal turmoil.
