This 1929 staging of Rose-Marie at the Théâtre de Tours was a touring presentation by the Troupe du Théâtre Mogador. Directed by Jules Oudart, it featured the French adaptation of the popular American musical by Rudolf Friml and Herbert Stothart. The production assembled a large chorus of boys and girls alongside featured dancers, notably Miss Bitton from the Mogador company. Brought from one of Paris’s leading operetta houses, the show brought Mogador’s trademark technical polish and stage spectacle to Tours during the 1928–1929 season.
