“Prima Donna – Vivaldi and his star: a pyrotechnic recital!” is a touring recital by Le Concert de l’Hostel Dieu built around Vivaldi’s prima donna Anna Giraud (“La Girò”). The program pairs the dazzling vocal virtuosity of arias written for her with the brilliant orchestral sheen of the surrounding symphonic pages. It spans opera numbers (Bajazet, with references to Orlando, Alcina, Griselda), sacred music (Nisi Dominus, Juditha triumphans, Stabat Mater) and three instrumental interludes (RV 578, RV 156, RV 44). The lineup features twelve period-instrument players and one vocal soloist, led from the harpsichord by Franck‑Emmanuel Comte, with Reynier Guerrero as solo violin. Mezzo-soprano Blandine de Sansal anchors this Vivaldi journey, designed for touring and presented in festivals, churches and chapels across France.
