Adapted and directed by Kip Williams, this Broadway production of The Picture of Dorian Gray is a multimedia stage event that fuses live performance with cinematic video design. Sarah Snook performs all 26 characters, switching in real time as a team of onstage camera operators capture and compose images across a towering LED screen and multiple smaller displays. Designed by Marg Horwell with video by David Bergman, the show layers live feeds and pre-recorded material so Snook can interact with different versions of herself. The production uses contemporary visual motifs—selfies, filters, split screens—to sharpen Wilde’s themes of vanity, image, and moral decay. It contains adult themes, simulated drug use, herbal cigarettes, a gunshot sound effect, strobe/flashing lights, darkness, and haze/smoke. Recommended for ages 4 and up; children under 5 are not permitted in the theatre.
